Student Assistant

Dominik Buhl has been working at the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies in Potsdam (IASS) since October 2022 as a student assistant in the EXPERI project.

In his studies, he positions himself as both a sociologist and a philosopher. After a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary social sciences (Leiden University, NL), he completed a master's degree in political sociology (London School of Economics and Political Science, UK). His master's thesis focused on how alternative climate-economy models can accompany a radical socio-ecological transformation. Currently, Dominik Buhl is studying a master's degree in philosophy at the Humboldt University in Berlin. Here, he is working on social change from a social and historical philosophy perspective, as well as questions of environmental and climate ethics, among other topics. In addition to his studies, Dominik Buhl is also active in civil society for climate justice. Among other things, he is a guest lecturer for the Federal Office for Family and Civil Society Tasks, holding seminars on this topic.
