Abstract
The Berlin Mobility Act (MobG BE) has raised great expectations for a rapid transformation of the capital into a people- and environment-friendly mobility space. This paper assesses progress in four fields of action - institutional restructuring, planning, participation and communication as well as constructional and financial measures - and gives recommendations for similar legislative projects in other municipalities and federal states. This is done from an interdisciplinary perspective of planning science and social science mobility research.
